UMandlakazi is has always held the left hands of the Zulu kindgom, iNdlu yaseKhohlwa, from the days of King Jama kaNdaba. Prince Sojiyisa kaJama as the head of the this house helped Senzangakhona in the fight for throne against his brother Prince Mkhazane, lead King Shaka’s war against Zwide of the Ndwandwe tribe. Prince Maphitha kaSojiyisa also helped put King Cetshwayo on the throne against Mbuyazi his brother, and prince Zibhebhu was also one of the key generals in fight against Britain eSandlwane, was also big hero kwaNolele killing British solders alone. When king Cetshwayo was arrested by the British powers he asked that his son prince Dinuzulu be left with prince Zibhebhu kwaMandlakazi.
